 i've used a piece of pressed cardboard for the decors on the bolts

per  i decori sulle stanghette ho usato del cartone pressato

then painted them and glued with a strong glue.

I've also made a pair of matching earrings (i know sunglasses were bold enough alone but i couldn't resist).

I've punched the piece and added a hook;one curl up, other one down to frame the face,like inverted commas.

These sunglasses make me think at vacations by the sea and painted tiles.

If i will ever make another pair i'd cut the shapes from colored plastic sheets i couldn't find this time,for a more flat and even result.

A questo punto li ho dipinti e incollati.

Ho anche fatto un paio di orecchini coordinati (lo so già gli occhiali sono vistosi ma non ho resistito).

Ho bucato il decoro e aggiunto un gancetto; un ricciolo in sù,l'altro in giù come due virgolette che incorniciano il visto.

Questi occhiali mi fanno pensare al mare e alle maioliche dipinte.

Questa estate la mia amica Daniela vivrà una vacanza veramente avventurosa. Partendo dal confine attraverserà il sud della Francia in bicicletta per arrivare a Parigi. Dopo aver visitato la cité de l'amour farà di nuovo rotta verso l'Italia. Durante il viaggio si fermerà nei mercatini locali per mostrare i suoi bellissimi acquerelli e porterà con sè anche qualche gioiello artiginale Matter Of Style. Se dovessero piacervi e vi trovaste sul suolo francese vi terrò aggiornate su date e location dei mercatini su twitter.

There isn't summer without sunglasses but sometimes we don't know where to put them when taken off,their cases are big while our bags are small. Well the sunglasses above resolve the problem, they can be folded and become very small. There are Rayban but even a cheaper colored version i found for you. In the last pic you see a concept pair of sunglasses by the designer of Studio Klass made for Luxottica. They can be folded
and become only 11 mm thick and then can be stored in a stilysh thin black case.


In estate non possiamo fare a meno degli occhiali da sole. Non sempre però sappiamo dove metterli quando dobbiamo riporli, le custodie sono spesso ingombranti e le borsette mai abbastanza grandi. Questi occhiali risolvono il problema, si piegano e diventano veramente compatti. Ci sono i rayban ma ho scovato per voi anche un'opzione budget in versione colorata,in ultimo vedere un paio di occhiali frutto di un concept ideato dai designer dello Studio Klass si ripiegano fino a raggiungere lo spessore di 11 mm e possono essere riposti in uno stilosa custodia nera ultra sottile.

Could you treat a Balenciaga bag this way? Well Louise Ingalls Sturges did and turned the famous bag into
the palette of an artist. Roughly treated and worn but customized for sure. It inspires me because the painting looks random, unplanned like it has been made following a creative raptus.
Ridurreste così una borsa di Balenciaga? Beh Louise Ingalls Sturges l'ha fatto e ha trasformato la famosa borsa in una tavolozza d'artista. Potrebbe essere la borsa di un'artista maltrattata e usata, sicuramente personalizzata. Mi piace perchè le pennellate sono casuali, pasticciate come se la borsa fosse stata dipinta seguendo un raptus creativo.

Artists always try to push the boundaries of lecit to provoke a strong reaction in the viewer and Kelly Howley,an art student from Middlesex University in London managed to get the attention of the public with these necklaces made of human hair. Hair are considered a weapon of seduction in a woman but the moment they are out of the body they instanly become repulsive. She says she tried to make them appelling again shaping them in form of a necklace using wallpaper patterns.

I think that even after all the accessories and clothes we've seen made of human hair i still find these necklaces disturbing but i appreciate the artistic process behind them.

 Gli artisti tentano sempre di andare oltre i limiti del consentito per provocare una reazione forte in chi guarda la loro opera e Kelly Howley, una studentessa della Middlesex university di Londra ci è decisamente riuscita con le sue collane fatte di capelli umani. I capelli, comunemente considerati un'arma di seduzione diventano invece repellenti se pensati fuori dal corpo. La Howley,interrogandosi su questo tema ha cercato di rendere i capelli di nuovo attraenti modellandoli in forma di collana riproducendo i disegni di certe carte da parati. Che ne dite,ci è riuscita?
Io penso che, anche dopo aver visto molti accessori e abiti realizzati di capelli umani,questi monili rimangano comunque repellenti ma apprezzo il percorso artistico che ha portato alla loro realizzazione.

High fashion is a dream but its prices are not for everyone. High street chains sell every season inspired cloths we can buy but there's another way to rock a trend from the an upcoming season: we can go retro. My grandma used to say that in fashion what goes around comes around,designs are never the same but some ideas are taken from the past. There's a lot of vintage fashion that still looks uptodate.

Today i've found this Valentino vintage peplum dress that reminded me the lasted Chanel Couture collection. Ok, you're right, today's vintage find is not a cheap one but i wanted to show you anyway.

L'alta moda ci incanta ma sicuramente i prezzi di un abito di alta sartoria non sono accessibili a tutti. Le industrie di moda low cost ogni stagione fanno a gara a mettere sul mercato dei modelli che si ispirano a quelli dei più famosi designer ma c'è anche un altro modo di indossare la moda che più ci piace: acquistare vintage. La moda è una ruota diceva sempre mia nonna e con l'avvicendarsi delle stagioni vengono riproposti dei modelli del passato. Certo la moda è sempre diversa,i modelli vengono reinterpretati ma molti capi vintage appaiono ancora attuali.

Oggi mi sono imbattuta in questo vestito vintage di Valentino che mi ha subito ricordato gli abiti di alta moda di Chanel che sono stati presentati per la stagione invernale.

Ok, l'abito che ho scovato per voi oggi non è di quelli economici ma ho voluto mostrarvelo in ogni caso, dategli un'occhiata  qui.
