Impalpable as dandelions they are called mohair,cashmere and angora. They are the softest and warmest wools; soft at touch and incredibly light at sight. Looking at these jumpers they look like made of cotton candy. Angora is for sure the longest and most expensive yarn and gives to jumpers a halo of softness. Can you guess who is the animal sheared to obtain this natural fiber?






 When I think of an angora jumper this is exactly the look that comes into my mind: a 50's retro look, a cropped top worn over a pencil skirt; along with this pic I found Johanna's blog, I love her retro style, check it out.



Here is the fluffy animal that "produces" angora yarn, it is sheared every three months. What animal is that?

Mohair is obtained from angora goats.
Today I bought a few balls of mohair in mint green to make a soft sweater: 8 balls of wool or 400 grams will be enought for a sweater and you can knit it with 3.5 or 4 knitting needles.

Collar,cuff,bags and hats, this winter everything can be covered with soft fur but strictly bright colored!

I put my eyes on this skirt and top since the very beginning. I hope they will be covered with real studs because looking at them closely now they seem to be made with sequin foil fabric where sequins are just dots printed on. The bracelet is my favorite piece of jewelry from the collection.

My winter wardrobe is taking form and it looks like a man wardrobe! In these days I'm after men style, tomboy inspired women fall collections and real pieces of men wardrobe. The Givenchy rottweiler shirt definitely got my attention paired with Louboutin's men studded loafers.  I am a fan of heels and in the past I hardly considered british brogues because I thought the didn't fit my style but last week I nearly bought a pair (after some thinking I'll take them).

Il mio guardaroba invernale sta prendendo forma...ed è quello di un uomo! La mia attenzione è orientata sulla contaminazione con lo stile maschile ed andando oltre le collezioni donna invernali mi trovo a preferire direttamente il menswear. La mia selezione include la camicia con stampa rottweiler di Givenchy e i mocassini borchiati di Louboutin. Essendo una fan dei tacchi alti in passato non ho mai considerato l'opzione di indossare le scarpe classiche british stringate ma la scorsa settimana ne ho quasi acquistato un paio (e dopo averci pensato un po' credo che le prenderò!).
